Who We Are
Solid Surface Solutions Ltd. is a fully licensed fabricator of all solid surface products including Corian, Staron, Wilsonart, Hi-Macs and Avonite. Between them our dedicated team has amassed over 35 years of experience in the business, undertaking bespoke commercial fabrication and unique projects which explore the boundaries of the capabilities of the material. These include curved and decorative work and specialist finishes such as inlay work and extreme high gloss.
Centrally located in Long Eaton, between Nottingham and Derby, and housed in an historic railway building, we are ideally situated to provide quality bespoke worktops across the UK.
The Product
Solid surface is a man-made material which is resistant to heat, mould, mildew and stains and yet can be worked and carved like wood for a high quality finish. It can also thermoformed or moulded like plastic, and comes in hundreds of colours and effects such as marble or other stone.
It has many applications in healthcare, retail, education, marine and leisure, and is cost effective compared with other materials such as wood, stone or stainless steel. One of its major appeals is its seamless nature: such as sinks built in to countertops and backsplashes that follow the contours of the wall, eliminating areas for water to collect and mould or bacteria to grow.
